What's new for 2025?

The 2025 Equinox comes with an updated exterior design that includes fender flares, all-LED lighting, squared-off wheel wells and a fascia treatment that varies with each trim level. The new Equinox is wider than last year's model by 2.3 inches and it gives Ashtabula, OH buyers a new 11.3-inch infotainment screen plug a large digital gauge cluster. The gear shift is mounted on the steering column and  a drive mode selector knob is a special feature on RS and Activ trims that lets you select Normal, Snow and Off-Road modes.

The engine and performance

The new Chevy Equinox is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and when it's equipped with all-wheel drive it can generate 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive models can produce 184 pound-feet of torque and they're connected to a continuously variable automatic transmission. With all-wheel drive, you'll be driving around Willoughby, OH with an eight-speed automatic and your time from zero to 60 mph will be about 8.0 seconds.

Interior highlights

The interior has quite a bit of space for passengers as well as a significant amount of cargo room. Google technology is built-in and the system includes Google maps navigation and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot. The new Equinox also has a much bigger 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster that's located in front of the driver, and it can be reconfigured in a variety of ways based on your preferences.

Highlights of the new Equinox Activ trim

For the first time, the Equinox offers Warren, OH buyers a top-tier Activ trim that's designed to give you a more rugged option. It comes with all-terrain tires that can make it easier to hit the trails and it's also equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels, a Maple Sugar and Black interior color scheme and special Activ interior embroidery.
